My experience treating pain cases:
I’ve treated many pain conditions over the years with success. What I found is that if you don’t need surgery, acupuncture can work amazingly well. I’ve seen patients for back pain, neck pain, headaches, menstrual cramps, knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain, rib pain – I’m sure over the last couple of decades, I’ve treated every pain condition out there.
My patients are always surprised that acupuncture can work so well for pain. I understand it’s counterintuitive to think that putting tiny needles into your body can take away pain. But it works like a charm.
It may take more than one treatment to get rid of your pain completely. But I’ve helped people who have been living with chronic pain for many years. I typically see patients once per week until their pain is gone. I rarely need to see someone more than once a week, maybe in very severe conditions.
Our country has an opioid (pain med) problem. I know many people take pain meds because they don’t know other ways to improve their pain. A new study on acupuncture for pain found that acupuncture can work as well as morphine – without any nasty side effects or addiction issues.
The only downside to acupuncture is that it can take time to completely resolve your pain. That’s because this is natural medicine, and as you know, nature takes its time. I tell my patients to think of it this way – you can’t plant tomato seeds and eat those tomatoes that night for dinner.
Some pain conditions respond quickly, and others take more time. We will know how your body reacts after the first couple of treatments. I learned very advanced acupuncture techniques in my Doctoral program. It was two extra years, but I believe those two years made me a much better acupuncturist. I’m grateful I decided to go the extra mile (or ten), and my patients seem very grateful, too.
I’m happy to chat with you over the phone if you’d like to see whether I can help you. The joy of my job is getting results for my patients. I don’t work with anyone I don’t believe I can help, and I am very forthcoming with that info. Over the last couple of decades, the only patients I couldn’t help with their pain needed surgery. Otherwise, my patients have found acupuncture to be a fantastic natural alternative.
